A common solution in the United States is to send troubled teens to boot camps. This is generally a choice made by parents and sometimes even mandated by the courts depending on the situation. There really aren’t any such boot camps for troubled teens in the UK but there are a few other options that seem to be working out just a well for the teens and their families.

He often brings in counselors and even hard core military professionals to help shape the behavior of the teenagers. On the show the teenagers and their families are often introduced before the intervention takes place and then after it has happened. The transformation for the teenagers and their families is truly amazing. Encouraging your teenager to join the Navy Sea Cadets is another viable option. This can help ensure they get the discipline they need. It can also help them develop self respect and respect for others. This isn’t a good option for all teenagers but something you may want to look into further. If the teenager is completely out of control it is possible to have them sent to a boot camp in the United States. This can be quite expense though and the parents will be responsible to cover the cost of transportation as well as the stay at the boot camp. Depending on how desperate the situation with the teenager is though it could be a very worthwhile investment. |
