Re:I want to help my friends child - 2007/10/03 10:03 The fact that your friend’s son is engaging in drugs and alcohol, as well as running away at a young teen age (13), it may be best for the parents to get him professional help. At this age, it has been studied that teens are more receptive to professional therapy and it can help mold his behavior for the years to come where troubled teens have been notorious to be hard-headed and one-way thinkers. Hopefully, if they catch him at this age with the proper therapy, he won’t reach that stage. Definitely the kinds of issues he is dealing with at just the start of adolescence need the proper attention from a counselor or therapist. His own physical safety is at hand and this must be addressed.

Re:I want to help my friends child - 2007/12/11 09:23 Unfortunantly there probably isnt much that you can do for this kid. I would say to keep your own child away from him though. www.eagleranchacademy.com

Re:I want to help my friends child - 2008/03/26 05:03 The problem is that most parents of strong-willed, out of control teenagers have tried very hard to regain control -- but with little or no success. And
it seems the harder the parent tries, the more the teenager "acts-out."
I often hear the following statement from parents: "I've tried everything with this child -- and nothing works!" But when they do my parent-
program, they soon discover they have not tried everything, rather they have tried some things. Learn more about the parent-program. Guaranteed to work immediately.
