marijuana use - 2005/12/07 18:36Hello, my son seems to be smoking a bit of dope sometimes. It does not seem to be heavy use. He is 17 years old and still holds up his marks at school, seems very social - I was wondering if this is just a phase and somewhat 'normal' - or more sinister and i should put a stop to it?
your advice or experiences would be great to hear.

Re:marijuana use - 2005/12/07 19:53Marijuana use isn't something to be taken lightly. While most people think of it as more of a recreational drug, there's mounting research to suggest that marijuanu usage (which can easily turn into dependency) increase the chances of developing mental health problems.
I'd put a stop to it, but maybe try an education first approach. Talk with your son about the consquences of drug use.
