I have a 15 yr old step dauther that has been diagnosed with ODD, and possibly Bi Polar and ADHD. Her father and I have had custody for a little over a year now. She was taken from her mothers home by DSS for neglect along with her brother. She was able to do whatever she wanted to do any time. Her nor her brother was attending school on a regular basis, she was living with her 19 yr old boyfriend (lost her virginity at 12), has had several sexually tranmitted deaseases, has cut herself, argumentative, gets in physical altercations, and her mother allowed her to drink and do drugs. Her mother is now up on drug charges (distribution of a controlled substance). My step daughter recently stole a car and had her 1 yr old sister with her. She is currently on house arrest and will remain on probation. Since on house arrest she has skipped school, has been caught smoking, and has attmpted to get in a fight with another student at school. HELP!!!!!
Please will someone please tell me how to cope with her and how to stop letting her effect the other children in our family and her father and I's life together.
